instructions step by step to apply the wallpaper
Equipment needed
Pencil – Cutter – Brush – Wallpaper Smoother – Pasting brush or roller – Bucket – Plumb line or spirit level – Glue (Metylan Special 200 gr)
Warnings
We decided to add an abundance of 5 cm (on the height) at the bottom and 5 cm (on the width) on the final roll on the right. Example: if you order a wallpaper for a wall 300 cm wide and 270 cm high, you will receive a wallpaper 305 cm wide and 275 cm high. Pay attention: the extra centimeters are located only on the width of the last roll.
The wallpaper’s package is a resistant cardboard tube. If you are going to apply the wallpaper in two day from the package arrival, we suggest you to keep that in horizontal position. Check the wallpaper before placing it. Unroll the wallpaper in order to verify the compliance of the rolls, concerning shape, colors and dimensions. Complaining are refused after the wallpaper applying. If you have ordered wallpaper for several walls, you will find the number of each of them on the surface of the package.
You will receive (home) rolls maximum 135 cm wide each.
There are no extra centimeter on each roll, so it’s important to make them match
perfectly edge to edge starting from the first onwards. Don’t make them overlapping.

Application phases

First step: preparing the wall using the plaster and the sand paper, in order to cover holes or cracks, trying to make the surfaces uniform, smooth, clean and dry as much as possible. If there are sockets and light switches on the wall, remove their covers before the wallpaper application. Cut the paper near the sockets, folding the corners inside. You will be able to reassemble the cover of the sockets and light switches at the end of the application.

Read carefully the instructions on the glue’s package and prepare it, taking into account the right proportions of water and powder. We recommend the glue Metylan Special 200g or another one solvent-free.

Apply the wallpaper on the wall from left to right. You will find a progressive number written on the back of each roll, which specify the applying order (from left to right).

You can put the glue on the back of the paper or directly on the wall at your complete discretion. If you choose to put the glue on the back of the rolls place them upside down and apply the glue with a large brush or a painter’s roller. Cover uniformly the surface and let it rest as it’s specified on the glue’s package, then start with the next roll. The timing could change depending on the temperature or on the wall condition.

Start from the roll number 1: lean it against the left corner of the wall, from the top to the bottom. Check possibly the correct alignment with a plumb line.

Smooth the wallpaper, using an upholstery brush, from the top to the bottom. Continue with the next roll making sure of the correct alignment of the edges. Remove the excess glue, when it’s still fresh, with a soft cloth. You must remove the excess glue before it becomes dry.
Cut the excess paper with a ruler and a sharp cutter, on the right and on the bottom of the wall.
How to apply the wallpaper to
several walls
If you have ordered more than one wall and the wallpaper is thought for two adjacent walls, cut the excess wallpaper on the last roll of the first wall and then continue with the other.
